Is this all we're Left with?

I'm never going to make it through the week. One of two things will happen. I'll have to turn off all mention of news as it pertains to the Democrat LoveFest (or LieFest ... either applies) going on in Denver. Or I'll begin vomiting and not be able to stop.

The media was absolutely ga-ga over Michelle Obama's speech Monday night. Hell, even Lib-bashing Dick Morris came away "impressed" that she said she loved her country. (After saying she only then, for the first time, admired her country during the primary season and took deserved heat for doing so, what did anyone expect her to say Monday? Hello? Dick?)

Two things struck me about her speech, though. First, why, I wonder, did the Libs feel the need to "humanize" their candidate to kick off their national convention? Why all the "he's such a great guy" fluff? (I loved the part about him being such a model husband/father because he showed up at the hospital for the births of his children! What a swell guy, huh?!)

I'd suggest it's because there's no substance to talk about with this guy. While he's an obviously gifted orator (with a prepared speech) who can talk for an hour about "change" and other meaningless platitudes without saying anything of substance and make it sound good, few others (including his wife) share that talent.

The second and most disturbing aspect, though, was Michelle Obama's repeated reference to her husband's rants about "not accepting the world as it is but fighting for the world as it should be."

Harmless platitude? Hardly. Very little, if any, mention of this in the mainstream media, of course. A Democrat could say that the sun rises in the West, and the media would collectively nod and smile.

"The world as it is" and "the world as it should be" might have been Barack Obama's words, as his wife remembered them, back in those days in Chicago. But they came directly from the teachings of Saul Alinsky (specifically his book Rules For Radicals), one of the biggest radical Leftists in this nation's history. And from where did many of Alinsky's beliefs emanate? Try Karl Marx.

Naturally, Obama cut his activist/political teeth under the tutelage of Alinsky ... along with admitted domestic terrorist William Ayers and any number of other socialists/America-hating Left-Wing whack-jobs ... and he's proud of it.

The fact that he is, coupled with the fact that he's the Democrat nominee for President of the United States, should scare the living shit out of anyone who cares about the future of this great country.

Change?

Yeah, these people ... from Obama to the fruitcake Marxists he's marched in lockstep behind to the MoveOn.org nutcases to Michael Moore to Barbara Streisand, to the vast majority of those who not only believe in this Obamanifesto but know what it's all about ... are solidly behind change.

They hate the principles upon which this country was founded: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They hate capitalism and free markets. They want power ... government power. It's more government and more government and more government until ...

As is, was and always will be in various places in this world, government is all there is. Freedom is gone, the individual vanquished.

And that, my friends, isn't America. Not even close.
